When we recommend a product on The CP Deals and you click a link to buy it, we sometimes earn a small commission from the retailer. The price you pay is exactly the same. The commission does not influence which products we recommend, and our editors are not told which links earn commissions.

FTC Compliance

In accordance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 CFR Part 255), The CP Deals discloses that it participates in affiliate marketing programs. This disclosure applies to all editorial content on the Site, including articles, product round-ups, reviews, gift guides, and newsletters.

How Affiliate Links Work

An affiliate link is a uniquely tagged URL that lets a retailer attribute a sale to the publisher whose site referred the buyer. When you click an affiliate link on The CP Deals and complete a purchase within a tracking window (typically 24 hours to 30 days, set by the retailer), we may receive a commission. The commission is paid by the retailer, not by you.

Commissions vary by retailer and category, typically ranging from 1% to 15% of the purchase price.

Editorial Independence

This is the part that matters most:

• Editors choose products based on independent reporting, testing, and expert sourcing — not based on commission rates.
• Editors are not informed which retailers offer affiliate commissions on which products. Affiliate links are added by a separate commerce team after the editorial story is finalized.
• No retailer or brand pays us to feature their product in editorial coverage. Branded content, when it runs, is produced by a separate studio and is clearly labeled "Sponsored" or "Paid Post."
• If we cannot find a non-affiliate way to link to a product we want to recommend, we will still recommend it.
• If a product earns a poor review, the affiliate relationship does not change that.

How to Identify Affiliate Links

Most outbound product links on The CP Deals are affiliate links. You can identify them by hovering over a link to inspect the destination URL, which will typically include tracking parameters such as ?tag=, ?utm_source=, or pass through a redirector domain.

You are never required to use our links. You can search for any product directly on the retailer's site.

No Effect on Price

Affiliate commissions do not change the price you pay. Retailers absorb the commission as a marketing cost. In some cases, our links surface coupon codes or sale prices that you might not otherwise find — but you would pay the same retail price either way.

When We Don't Use Affiliate Links

We do not use affiliate links for:

• Links to non-commercial sources (academic studies, government agencies, expert profiles).
• Links to other editorial content on The CP Deals or other publications.
• Cases where the retailer prohibits affiliate use for a specific product or category.
